The Policy of Public Procurement Service Superior Product
The Public Procurement Service Superior Product Policy was introduced in 1996 to enhance the quality of procurement materials and is a policy that designates products with superior technology and quality among products produced by SMEs and mid-sized companies as excellent products through a strict evaluation. A company will supply products defined as superior to consuming organisations at each level by following the rule of government contract laws.
Basis of the superior product system
Superior products from the Public Procurement Service are designated and managed following Article 26 of the ‘Act on Procurement Business’, Article 30 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, and ‘Regulations on Designation and Management of Superior Procured Goods’ (Public Procurement Service Notice).
Designated target of Superior Product
Products with applied technology are designated for goods and software produced by small and medium-sized businesses and early-stage mid-sized companies, and the applied technology and quality explanation data are as follows.

- 1) New product, new technology product: Within 3 years from the date of initial certification (comprehensive evaluation report required)
- 2) Patented product: Within 7 years after registration (patent register and registration gazette required)
- 3) Utility model product: within 3 years of registration (Utility model registration book and registration notice required)
- 4) International (overseas) patents and pending patent utility models cannot be applied for (Excluding testing)
- 5) Innovative product: Within 3 years from being judged successful
Designation period of Public Procurement Service Superior Product
The designation period for products designated as excellent products is three years from the date of designation, and if the company requests an extension, it can be extended for up to 3 years, taking into account the product's quality and technology certification, delivery performance, private contract status, export performance, etc. (Extension conditions cannot be duplicated)
Methods of Sales Support about Superior Products
We support for products designated as superior products, private contracts are possible by national contract laws, and third-party unit price contracts or total contracts are concluded to supply them to demand organizations, holding exhibitions, publishing catalogues, posting on the Public Procurement Service's Internet website, and mobile apps introducing superior products promotions such as production and distribution.
Methods of purchasing excellent product products - 3-party unit price contract
